This post is sponsored by Midwest 3 on 3.
Before we dive into this month’s newsletter, I wanted to draw your attention to a 3v3 basketball league idea that could get your team involved in the community, develop your players, and make some money for your program!
There are a lot of great ways to incorporate 3v3 hoops into your program (and I’m sure none of us would debate the positive impact 3v3 and small-sided games has), but the most impressive 3 on 3 venture I’ve seen is Christy Hilley with Midwest 3 on 3 in MN.
She’s been running 3 on 3 basketball leagues since 1997 and is currently teaching others exactly how she’s done it! You can check out her youtube to get a better idea of what she does.
Or, better yet, sit in on her FREE 90-minute training on how to run your own profitable 3 on 3 basketball league if you are looking to generate revenue for your program or a little extra side-income.
Shoot me a message with any questions!
Happy August! Summer is coming to a close and a lot of you will be with your players again.
Here’s to another great school year, more wins, and better basketball in 2023-24 - cheers!

HOOP THOUGHTS/CONCEPTS/IDEAS
Have a plan for what your team should do when the ball goes into the post
Are we relocating? Running split action? Basket cutting? Interchanging? Pick something and have them do it. It’s too easy to guard and you’re giving up opportunities to score if your players just stand there.
NON-COACHING STUFF
What happens for your family when you die? This might be the most important thing to read on the newsletter this month!
IF YOU’RE GOING THROUGH IT…
