On social media, other newsletters, YouTube, and the like…the major teams get most of the airplay.
It’s high-quality and high-level basketball, so it makes sense.
But most of us don’t coach the type of athletes or players that are at places like Houston, UCLA, Alabama, UConn, Texas, etc.
Whenever I get the chance, I like to take a look at smaller schools that may better represent the readership of this newsletter.
Please note - this is not a knock on Division III basketball in any capacity. As you’ll see in the clips, these guys can play. They just happen to be a little less athletic, a little shorter of height, etc.
Here are a few links from the game (which was a great one):
Full Game Replay/Broadcast - last 10 minutes of gameplay are a great watch
Loom Video where I break down some of the concepts I saw/liked with my own commentary
YouTube Video that clips 20 of the best actions into almost 3 and a half minutes (without my breakdown of the clips)
To note, I didn’t compile a “highlight tape” of the game - these were just some of the actions that I liked/felt could use some commenting on.
Until next time!
P.S. - Whenever you’re ready, there are a few ways I can help you as a coach!
